The permanent exhibition dedicated to Ioannis Kapodistris introduces us to his biography and allows visitors to learn about the life and legacy of this remarkable figure. Count Kapodistris, a highly educated man of his era, a distinguished economist, politician, lawyer, philanthropist, and deeply religious man, played a crucial role in shaping the European balance of power in the early 19th century and in the founding of Greece, becoming the first president of free Greece. The Count was born, raised, and buried on the island of Corfu.

The exhibition is organized chronologically and traces the life and career of Ioannis Kapodistris in Corfu and the Ionian Islands as a whole, in Russia and other Western European countries, and finally in the new Greek state, through objects that belonged to him and his family, as well as government documents. The tour is accompanied by digital media that illuminate his career and bring this great politician to life.
