Kalami Beach

Kalami Beach

The sandy and pebble beach of Kalami is located 30 km north of the capital, Corfu. It is a wide beach of flat pebbles. The stunning mountain views, picturesque shores seemingly rippled by waves, bays immersed in greenery, and the extraordinary turquoise color of the sea inspired the English writer Lawrence Durrell in his novels about the island of Corfu. On the beach is the well-preserved Durrell family house, which houses a Greek tavern.

Kalami is an ideal destination for those seeking peace and natural beauty. The beach is made of fine pebbles, ideal for a family vacation. There are several taverns, shops, and supermarkets along the shore.
