Porto Timoni Beach
Porto Timoni Beach on Corfu Island is a picturesque beach with a sandy isthmus (twin canals) and turquoise waters at the foot of the hill in the village of Afionas. The area boasts stunning views and is ideal for snorkeling, but is only accessible by foot along a rocky path (approximately 20-30 minutes) or by boat from Agios Georgios or Paleokastritsa. The beach is unorganized, so bring your own food and umbrellas. A 10-minute walk along a path from the beach on a neighboring hill is the cave church of Agios Stylianos.
- Nature: Two bays separated by a narrow strip of land, surrounded by lush greenery.
- Access: Difficult, requires comfortable shoes, as the path runs over rocks and is unshaded, and the return is uphill.
- Facilities: The beach is undisturbed; there are no sun loungers or bars.
- When to visit: It's recommended to arrive early in the morning during the summer season, as it gets crowded after 11:00 and parking is extremely difficult.
- Alternative: You can rent a boat in the nearby bay of Agios Georgios Pagon or in Paleokastritsa.
