Gardenos Beach

Gardenos Beach (Vitalades) is a long sandy beach on the southwest coast of Corfu, 20 km from the capital, Kerkyra. The beach is pure sand, very long, and part of it is wild and uncrowded. The organized part of the beach has three inexpensive taverns serving traditional Greek and Corfu cuisine, sun loungers, umbrellas, and parking. A convenient asphalt road leads to the beach through the village of Vitalades.

The entrance to the sea at Vitalades is gentle, comfortable, and clean sandy, ideal for all ages, including small children. A light sea breeze always blows on the beach in the afternoon, making it very comfortable even on the hottest days.

Nearby beaches include Santa Barbara and Agioi Gordi (in the far south of Corfu).
