FERRY FROM CORFU TO IGOUMENITSA PORT.
Corfu has two domestic ports and one international one.
From two internal ports (either from the capital of Corfu or from the port of the city of Lefkimmi) you can go to the mainland city - the port of Igoumenitsa. The ferry goes from one to two hours. INTERNATIONAL FERRIES .
If you want to visit Italy or Albania, then Corfu has a daily and very convenient ferry service to the Italian cities of Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice, and to the Albanian city of Saranda.
In summer, there are direct ferries from Corfu to the cities of Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice. A huge number of tourists and pilgrims from all over Europe come to Bari. Most of the city's guests visit the Basilica of St. Nicholas, located in the center of the medieval part of Bari. Every Thursday, an Orthodox Liturgy is held in the lower part of the basilica (in the crypt). And not far from Bari is the wonderful "town of trulli" - Alberobello, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as a huge park with wild animals Safari in Brindisi, and caves, including the world-famous "White Grotto".
In winter, you can travel to Italy from the city of Igoumenitsa.
Ferries to Albania (Saranda) leave all year round from the port of the capital of the island of Corfu, several times a day. In the summer, you can buy an exciting one-day tour of Albania.
It is advisable to book tickets at least one to two months before the intended trip. You can pay for tickets shortly before departure (7-14 days).
