Bua Village

Village of Bua (or Danilia)

The village of Bua (or Danilia) is a unique restored village and museum on the island of Corfu, founded by the Buav family in the 1970s.

The original village was destroyed in 1953 but was later restored using authentic materials (doors, windows, stones) collected from around the island from the remains of ancient buildings. The village of Bua is known for its traditional architecture, narrow streets, and picturesque corners that convey the atmosphere of the island in the mid-20th century. It is a popular filming location and tour location, known as an open-air museum. The village has been used as a filming location for the films "For Your Eyes Only," "The Big Greek Wedding 3," and the BBC series "The Durells."

The village of Bua is located near the tourist resort of Kondokali, 9 km from the capital of Corfu. The village is open to the public; an entrance fee is charged, but the entrance voucher can be used at the village cafe. The village has a cafeteria, taverns, and an applied arts museum.
